Easter Week, Whew!

Hello again! It's Monday, April 13, 2009 - the day after Easter. What a week it was! Very busy. We were unaware that our episode of "The Phantom Gourmet" was going to air again (for the fourth time) this past Saturday, the day BEFORE Easter. My sister called me as it began and let me know, about 11 a.m. Fortunately, I had the store chock full of product that day. However, as it turns out, I did not have enough. For whatever reason, more people saw this airing and began showing up. Stuff was flying out the door. Just before 2 p.m. (we usually close at 3 p.m.) we had to put a sign in the door: "Sorry, all sold out". I felt very badly for those people who showed up after 1:00, after driving from Auburn, Shrewsbury, Worcester and other spots after they had seen the Phantom that morning. By the time they got there, the selection was very limited.
So, to all of you who showed up at the time, I apologize for not having enough. It was just unpredictable. Please give me another chance and stop by another day - but as I always tell, even my regular customers, it's best to come early.
So, we are also thinking about opening later in the morning (say 10 a.m.) but staying open later in the day until about 5 or 6 p.m. during the warmer months. We might give it a try starting in May and see how it goes. We'll keep you posted!
