Well, the article about my little store was in yesterday Telegram & Gazette. A very nice article indeed!
When I got to the store, it was a normal Thursday morning - quiet. I got a few phone calls from family and friends who had read the article and wanted to congratulate me. Then it began.
My front door was almost like a revolving door. Lots of people who had never been to my store again came in. A few regulars came in, too, who had seen the article and wanted to talk. Very nice.
I soon began running out of products but we made it through the day without running out completely.
It is now Friday morning (3:13 a.m.) and I am getting ready to start baking. Today, we will have pumpkin sticky buns and cinnamon buns, spice cupcakes with a pumpkin mousse filling and a cream cheese icing, topped with crushed gingersnaps and pecans. I also have to whip up some more regular chocolate whoopie pies and more pecan and pumpkin tartlets. Then, I have several orders to fill today and then more for Saturday and Sunday.
Busy, busy, busy...
Oh, yeah, and Thanksgiving is next week and I have pie ordered out!
