New Store Hours
November 9, 2008
Well, this past Sunday was the first we were closed. We will now start opening on Wednesdays instead.
Things are starting to get busier. Now taking orders for Thanksgiving and a few other functions in between.
At the store this week, we will have the usual stuff along with peanut butter whoopies again, honey walnut slices (by request as I had none last week), fresh dog treats including our new doggie bagel. Starting to do pumpkin sticky buns and cinnamon rolls. They are super yummy. Come in for a sample.
Phantom update - I talked with Kristen (the producer from Phantom) again this week. She was asking specifics about the giant oatmeal whoopie pies and the peanut caramel slices. I've asked her when it will be aired and she said "soon" but would get back to me. I am thinking that it has to be this coming weekend or the one after that since they have been working on the editing of the footage for the past two weeks. I'll post a date as soon as I have one!
Holidays are coming so November and December should be very busy months for me. People are already asking when Christmas cookies will be available. I will have a big stash of holiday cookies for the Christmas Stroll, December 6. If you have not participated in the stroll in the past, I strongly urge you to do so. Especially if the weather is good. It is a nice walk to 15 different businesses around town, along with four of the churches. You pick up a passport at any participating location. If you go to ALL the businesses and the churches (you are NOT obligated to buy anything) and get your passport stamped and returned, you are eligible to win a number of really great prizes, including:
- A $200 savings account from Spencer Savings Bank
- A family portrait sitting and a 8x10 from Amy Yanover Photography
- $25 gift certificate from Five Loaves Bakery
- $100 gift certificate from Cormier Jewelers
- A case (your choice - can be mixed) of jams from St. Joseph's Abbey
- And many other great prizes, including a holiday cookie basket from Ooma's!
Consider participating - lots of the businesses give out cookies, coffee, etc., when you stop in.
