Halloween Week

It's Halloween week! Busy getting stuff ready for the store. Also taping another short segment for "Thyme In The Kitchen" on Tuesday. Oh, and also fit in a dentist appointment - cleaning. I am keeping very busy.
This week at the store, we will have chocolate whoopie pies and will dye the filling orange. We will also have the favorite oatmeal as well as a new favorite, red velvet. Lots more hand decorated Halloween cookies, some pumpkin and pecan tartlets, maybe some Bavarian apple tartlets. Maybe some more mini apple pies and maybe for this week, chocolate covered pumpkin cheesecake pops. We'll see. All depends on how much time I have.
Phantom producer, Kristen Stanton, said I would be receiving a Phantom decal for my store window - she said they go out once at the end of each year. So, I probably won't have it until January. Still can't wait to see the show! Check the blog each week - as soon as I know when it will air, I will post it. BTW, Kristen said her favorite was the oatmeal whoopie pie, whereas, the favorite of Sean Finlay (videographer) were the Hi-Hat cupcakes. I promised them I would send them a "goodie care package" right after the show aired.
BTW - if you stop in the store, we are offering "free" coffee. Although we would hope that you would find it in your heart to donate something for the coffee. Proceeds will go to the Spencer Food Pantry. Also, you don't have to even take a coffee. Donations to the food pantry are accepted, too. Thanks to all of those who have already given to the cause! Many families in Spencer will benefit from your generosity.
